An introduction to Maison Hennessy's legacy, savoir-faire, and the secrets of cognac-making.

Designed with newcomers in mind, the Hennessy Initiation Tour offers an introductory overview of the Maison's legacy, its time-honored craftsmanship, and the secrets of cognac-making. Board a shuttle for a brief crossing of the Charente River — an essential part of the Maison’s history — and step into a culture of excellence and dedication to savoir-faire.

Highlights of this hour-and-a-half odyssey for beginners include a visit to the Pavillon cellar, where the Maison’s saga comes to life.

It also includes a visit of an active ageing cellar where you'll learn about the phenomenon known as the "angels' share."

A presentation of the Hennessy Tasting Committee's daily ritual is followed by a guided tasting of two of Hennessy's most popular classic cognacs, Hennessy V.S and Hennessy V.S.O.P — neat, on the rocks and in a cocktail.

Please note that pets are not allowed on the grounds.

For health and safety reasons, the use of virtual reality headsets is reserved to visitors aged 12 and above. Please note that exposure to virtual reality can disrupt the sensory system and may lead to various mild symptoms that wear off quickly. The use of these technologies is not recommended for people who suffer from epileptic seizures or sensitive people (pregnant women, people suffering from motion sickness, or prone to migraines or panic attacks).

Alternative activities are available for visitors not participating in the virtual reality experience. Children under 12yo have to be accompanied by an adult in the non-virtual room.
